PRESS RELEASE - IMMEDIATE

Worcester's Very Own Online Magazine For Women Is Launched

Joint Editors Lisa Ventura and Elizabeth Hayden-Jones invite readers to check out the latest local gossip columns via a series of articles, reviews, hints and poetry. It covers everything and gives you a chance to air your views, especially on MEN - but it is NOT an Agony Column.

Readers can write in about their family life, hobbies, keeping fit, Worcester city issues, moan about men, sex, or simply a great place to eat out in the city. Worcester Women is to be a central focus for all women in the area and a type of daily chat line; if they are down they can log on and have a moan or gossip, if they feel keen they can write an article, review or poem, give hints, tell everyone about their bad day in the office, even their bad temp job! If they are shy they can use a pseudonym. A small administrative fee is charged for some article submissions and local businesses will be able to advertise on Worcester Women at very competitive rates.

Worcester Women came about when Elizabeth had an idea for a series of articles aimed at another local website, but the idea was turned down. "I talked to my writing partner Lisa Ventura about it," she says, "and we decided to set up the site as a place for women in Worcester to connect and share their experiences".

Visitors to the site, which will hopefully include men, are welcome to log on and submit their views and in addition to articles, stories and poetry there are also reviews, an events guide and much more.

Comments about Worcester Women include:

They are promising to make the site very interactive, giving women the chance to air their views, especially on men - BBC Hereford & Worcester.
