Article Submissions
Articles can be up to any length and can be submitted via the following means:
1. A word document attached to an email sent to submissions@worcesterwomen.net. Please include the phrase “Article Submission” in the subject header with the title of the article/piece. Please don’t forget to include your contact details and whether you would like to use a pseudonym name and what that name is.
2. An email with the word “Submission” in the subject header and the article within the body of an email sent to sentsubmissions@worcesterwomen.net. Please include the phrase “Article Submission” in the subject header with the title of the article/piece. Please don’t forget to include your contact details and whether you would like to use a pseudonym name and what that name is.

Story & Poetry Submissions
We welcome submissions from budding authors and Worcester Women is proud to showcase well-written short stories by local, regional and national authors. Although the site is aimed predominantly at Women in Worcester we are seeking submissions from anyone with a keen interest in writing who would like a platform to showcase their work.
Stories should be between 1000 – 1500 words in length, be well written and have a “twist in the tale”, but can be about any subject. Poem’s can be any length and about any subject.
Stories and poems can be submitted by the following means:

Reviewers
Are you a keen music lover, restaurant goer or pub lover? Do you like entertainment, the theatre or the arts? Have you heard a great new music release, seen a good film or TV show and want to let others know about it? We are looking for reviews not only of local releases but also of the latest entertainment and film/music releases as well as reviews of restaurants, pubs, clubs, theatre performances, gigs and anything that is going on in and around Worcester/Worcestershire.

Columnists and Bloggers
Worcester Women are currently seeking columnists and bloggers to write for our new blog, to be launched in January 2010. We are seeking columnists for a variety of subjects including:

Fashion
Beauty
Work/Careers
Celebrity Gossip
Entertainment
Family and Parenting
Food and Drink
Self help and spirituality
Relationships
Green living and environmental issues
To be considered as a Worcester Women columnist/blogger, please email a sample of a column or blog for one of the subjects above to submissions@worcesterwomen.net. Please include the phrase “Column/Blog Submission” in the subject header with the title of the article/piece. Please don’t forget to include your contact details and whether you would like to use a pseudonym name and what that name is.
If you are accepted as a columnist or blogger we would ask that you send us one entry per week to include on Worcester Women.
In return for being a columnist/blogger for Worcester Women we can give you your own page which will include your biography/details, a photo if you wish, links to your posts for the site and any other online writing work you would like to showcase. We cannot currently pay for submissions, but we hope this will change as the site grows and develops. You can also have the opportunity to be part of our “Meet the Staff” section.
Submission Terms and Conditions
• Writers for Worcester Women agree they hold the copyright to all work they submit and that it is original content.
• Writers agree that the Worcester Women Editorial Team have the final decision whether guides are published.
• Guide writers agree that they have read and understood the submission guidelines.
• Guide writers agree Worcester Women can place relevant advertising within their article and that it may be made available through RSS Feeds.
• Guide writers agree their submission is unique content appearing initially on Worcester Women
• No articles published on Worcester Women will be permitted to be used in spam campaigns.
• Worcester Women reserves the right to accept or refuse inclusion of any article, story or poem submitted.
• Deep linking or excessive self-serving promotional links may be edited or removed by Worcester Women staff.
• The Editors reserve the right to refuse obscene, pornographic, or any agony aunt type material.
• Please notify in writing if you require submitted material to be taken off the website to submissions@worcesterwomen.net

We do try and keep only interesting and useful articles on the site but cannot possibly check every link source that each submission may link to. Our articles and submissions are provided by staff and third parties and we do not endorse any of the articles, or the opinions held therein, we simply approve them if they meet our guidelines. All writers hereby hold exempt from any propriety issues that may arise from published articles, stories or poems.
