Flirting is Fun

By Siani James

It doesn’t matter if it’s a flirty cheeky smile, a comment, the way you dress, act, or text messaging, to name a few. Flirting is great fun and mostly harmless. It brightens one’s day, and no matter what age group, we all seem to enjoy flirting and the thrill of the chase. My flirting techniques are mainly by text message, although, when I see the person I’m flirting with, then a smile says it all. He knows I fancy him and time alone will tell if we eventually date. But the longer the better, as the bubble will burst, then of course, it won’t be half as much fun.

Flirting make you feel good, feel wanted, and certainly puts me on a high. Quite recently my flirt target was trying to pin me down for a pizza date, but wishing to prolong the highly enjoyable flirting I told him I was busy all week. This added fuel to the scenario as he instantly tried to get me to cancel something on my diary. That of course made me more flirty and I told him we’d meet probably the next week. I enjoyed being chased, and I knew he did too.

I went out that evening feeling really good and on a real high, and a friend questioned me saying ‘what on earth are you on’? I simply said ‘Oh spring is on the air, and I feel great’. A few days went by with no flirty contact so I assumed he’d lost interest. But no, the text messages came along thick and fast and I revelled in being chased again. He then asked me to state a time and place for our date, so putting the ball firmly in my court. I sent another message back saying,’ I’ll get back to you soon’. He’s still playing chase, and we both love it. But will we tire of it all? But now, he’s just sent a new message in capital letters saying ‘Its this week, or never’. Oh dear, what will be my reply I wonder?
